As Lakeside enters a new ministry year, there are five “checkpoints” God has led the leadership team to move forward on. Whether near or far, young or old, our hope is the life changing message of the gospel will ignite a movement aimed at helping people passionately pursue Jesus Christ. We hope you’ll partner with us is in this work through praying, serving, and giving as we step out in faith together!
1
Launch four new community groups. These groups are essential to the spiritual health and care of the LAC congregation. They are the place where people can feel most connected to the church for the long haul and formulate deep relationships with other Christians.
Prayer Request
Pray that God would raise up leaders and those with a heart for hospitality.
2
Launch Freedom @ Lakeside. As this ministry works to be established inside the church, it will then move outward to the local communities. Northern Ozaukee County lacks biblically based options to address addictions and Lakeside wants to be on the front end of meeting that challenge.
Prayer Request
Pray that God would lead those struggling with addiction to this new program where they can find support and encouragement.
3
Hire an associate pastor of family ministries. This is a key decision for any local church, but especially for a church plant. It requires time, attention, and careful investment to develop the right godly man in this role in order to unlock years of next level potential for Lakeside’s ministry impact.
Prayer Request
Pray for guidance and wisdom for the Search Committee and that God would bring the right person to this position.
4
Develop a Next Step Study for men. Winter this year will bring the opportunity to develop and launch a key gathering with morning and evening options for men with materials developed in-house to challenge guys to grow in a passionate pursuit of Jesus together. This will be a quality and relevant community that brings Bible study, accountability, and friendship to the forefront for Lakeside’s guys.
Prayer Request
Pray for wisdom for those developing this study and that many men would be drawn to passionately pursue Jesus.
5
Begin One Big Story. Beginning in 2026 a specific teaching initiative will be launched at Lakeside to help address the widespread biblical illiteracy in the congregation. Through Sunday morning preaching, groups, tools, and seminars Lakesiders will walk away with a clear understanding of how the Bible fits together to help them share the one big story that points to Jesus Christ. With a better understanding and appreciation of God’s Word, the church will be better equipped to pursue Christ as they mature in their faith.
Prayer Request
Pray that God would use this new sermon series to strengthen the faith of many Lakesiders.
